Ever wanted to design a garden in Central Victoria that uses the right plants in the right place? You’ll be in good hands with Stan Smith

Stan is a Qualified Horticulture Teacher, Gardener & Landscape Designer. Have all your questions answered in this informative workshop.

Stan Smith has a Landscape Design and Concept business, is a lecturer in horticulture at Bendigo Tafe and has lectured at Polytechnic in Melbourne. He also creates and leads garden tours in Victoria, Tasmania and New Zealand and does a biweekly talk about gardening on ABC Central Vic. Stan is a regular at Buda, demonstrating pruning, hedging and topiary with his own students and for us all at the Traditional Arts Fair. His commitment to greener gardening practices and the application of the principals of bio-diversity extends and enriches the experience of the garden, creating  year round sensory interest. His gardening workshops are accessible, easy to understand and easily implemented.

This workshop will be onsite at Buda. What to bring / wear.

  • Suitable clothes for outdoor work (if cold warm coats and beanies)
  • Sturdy footwear
  • Gardening gloves

The workshop will be conducted with extra precautions around distancing and cleaning practices in order to comply with guidelines provided by the Department of Health and Human Services.
