Painting the beauty of Buda with Terry Jarvis

This one day Watercolour Workshop with Terry Jarvis will include instruction in catching the light, composition, tone, handling colour, connecting buildings to the landscape, and telling your story visually in Watercolour.

Terry Jarvis was born and grew up in Castlemaine. It is where he developed a love and appreciation for the outdoors as a boy, playing in the creeks, fishing in the river and collecting fire wood in the bushland with his Dad. He started with sketching as a boy and it developed into a passion for his favourite medium, watercolour.

Terry is a regular tutor through out Australia and overseas and has award winning paintings in private collections world wide.

“I am inspired every day by the kangaroo’s amongst the gum trees and the ever changing beauty of the forest. I love the challenge that every water colour painting brings, to catch the light and those special moments in time.”

Weather permitting you will be painting en plain air outside in the beautiful Buda gardens and surrounds unfolding the majesty, charm, and history of one of Australia’s most important buildings from the Goldfields era as we paint.

Terry will guide you through your wonderful journey in Watercolour.
