These photos tell the exciting story of what has been happening in the Buda garden recently, thanks to the Living Heritage Grant. A drone was brought on site in February to photograph the crowns of some of our oldest trees. Valuable information about tree vitality and safety from above was gathered. The drone was sent to its maximum height of 120 meters to capture this image.
The larger trees on the property are predominately cypress species. The large Mexican Cypress on Urquhart St was in irreversible decline and has been removed. Above is arborist Ed Oram taking the tree down with the help of a very large crane.
