Our series of Traditional Arts Fair Workshops 2021. Workshops will take place in the Garden room and/or outside with plenty of space for physical distancing, Covid safe hygiene protocols in place and strict attendance limits.
BOOK NOWLorena Carrington is a photographic illustrator and artist who has worked with some of Australia’s best-loved authors. Her cyanotype workshop is much loved by artists and writers, children and adults. Participants explore their local surroundings and use found objects, and the cyanotype process (one of the earliest forms of photographic printing), to create their own montaged creatures and landscapes. In these workshops, we will explore the Buda garden to find inspiration for our own artworks. Paint your background and make a bird from leaves, a house from sticks, or a secret garden from flowers and feathers. These are workshops for all ages and abilities, as the montage technique is an opportunity for stress-free creative play, and pleasure in the environment.
COVID safety
This workshop will take place in an outside shelter, under Covid safe distancing requirements and strict limitation on numbers.
