SUMMARY:Traditional Arts Fair Workshop - Strudel Making
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=’1/2′] \nOur Traditional Arts Fair workshops 2021 \nOur series of Traditional Arts Fair Workshops 2021. Workshops will take place in the Garden room and/or outside with plenty of space for physical distancing\, Covid safe hygiene protocols in place and strict attendance limits. \nBOOK NOW\n[/vc_column][vc_column width=’1/2′][/vc_column][/vc_row] \nIn this workshop\, participants will learn how to make the perfect strudel with our resident expert Peter Lukaitis\nAlways a hit at our Traditional Arts Fair\, Peter Lukaitis will expand on his demonstration to take you through the whole process of strudel making. \nWith more than a nod to Buda’s Hungarian roots\, Apple strudel is a traditional Viennese strudel\, a popular pastry in Austria\, Northern Italy and in many other countries in Europe that once belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. \nPeter will demonstrate all the processes for making the perfect strudel then while they are in the oven you will be treated to a strudel afternoon tea handmade by Peter. You’ll also get to take some hot strudel home straight from the oven along with Peter’s own recipe. \nPeter Lukaitis moved to Castlemaine in 1990\, lives in an old 1860’s house and appreciates the history\, intactness and beauty of Buda.\n“I’m a great supporter of preserve and conserve.\nI have been making desserts since we lived on a farm at Sutton Grange.  I like being a little bit creative and seeing others enjoy the result. I tend to be averse to change and I like doing something well\, so I suppose I have been making strudels for maybe 15 years!  You can have them hot or cold\, they keep in the fridge and with some Greek yoghurt\, heaven!” \nBOOK NOW\n\nCOVID safety \n\nThis workshop will take place in the Garden Room\, under Covid safe distancing requirements and strict limitation on numbers.\nSee our Covid Safe plan here \nShould we have to cancel the workshop due to Government changes relating to COVD-19\, we will let you know as soon as possible.
