DESCRIPTION:    \nBOOK NOW\n\nCome and explore Buda’s three-acre Heritage Garden in this immersive Nature Journaling workshop led by Buda’s Curators. Slow down\, observe closely\, and record what you discover through drawing\, writing\, or even poetry. Anyone can nature journal — simple tools\, open curiosity\, and you’re ready to start. \nBegin the day with Ryan Garratt\, Buda’s Garden Curator\, who will share the history and significance of nature journaling in Victorian times. This session will draw on Buda’s collection of beautiful nature journals and botanical interpretations. \nNext\, Sarah Frazer\, Buda’s House Curator and visual artist\, will introduce the key elements of nature journaling. She will explain what you might include\, why it differs from everyday journaling\, and provide practical examples. \nAfter a lunch break\, the group will head into the garden for hands-on journaling. This session will include observational drawing and sensory meditation with Sarah\, while Ryan will be on hand to highlight what you might work with in the garden during the current season. There will also be time for questions\, practice\, and guidance throughout. \nThis special workshop has three tiers. \n$120 ticket is for new participants and includes a beautifully handmade journal for you to use and keep. The first section offers an instructional and inspirational guide to support your journaling journey\, followed by blank pages ready for your own spontaneous creations. Strictly limited edition. \n$60 ticket is for new participants. Please bring your own journal. \n$40 ticket is for returning participants. Please bring your own journal. \n    \nPencils and pens will be available but feel free to bring your own art materials. \nTea and coffee will be provided. Please email secretary@budacastlemaine.org if you would like to be on the waiting list.\nStep into a day of colour\, craft and creativity as Buda Historic Home and Garden brings the Traditional Arts Fair to Castlemaine on Sunday 22 November\, from 10am to 4pm. \nSet against the backdrop of Buda’s stunning spring garden\, this vibrant celebration honours the spirit of the Leviny daughters with an inspiring showcase of traditional arts\, cooking and gardening. Discover everything from embroidery\, bookbinding and weaving to saffron\, metalwork\, felting\, jewellery\, painting and more—each stall alive with skill\, story and hands-on demonstrations. \nRound off the day with handcrafted ice cream\, barista-made coffee\, a gourmet BBQ\, Devonshire teas and delicious light lunches—there’s something to tempt every appetite. \nAcross three lively stages\, enjoy free demonstrations\, roving musicians and a special guest artist in residence\, while stallholders share their craft up close.
