Following the success of the 2018 fair, Buda’s annual Traditional Arts Fair is coming to again Castlemaine on Sunday 24th November , showcasing traditional arts, cooking and gardening in as many and varied forms as possible, in the spirit of the Leviny daughters.

Hilda Leviny, the youngest of the Leviny women who lived at 42 Hunter St Castlemaine until she died in 1981, held a fundraising event every year at Buda Historic Home and Garden around this time and in her legacy we’re opening the doors of Buda for this exciting open day.

SKILLS ON SHOW

Patchwork, spinning, weaving, knitting, lacemaking, etching, quiltmaking, emboidery, fishing rods, pickling, metalwork, knitting pattern making, handmade body products, lacemakers, weaving, etching, and much more!

MAKE A DAY OF IT!

Craft beer, Handmade Icecream, Coffee, Buda special gourmet BBQ, Devonshire teas, Light lunches, music and children’s activities.

PLUS

Whilst here, you will be able to take a “behind the scenes” tour of the house. These will have a focus on specialised fields and be with one of Buda’s special tour guides.

We will have more information in the coming months.

Meanwhile, here are some photos of the great time we had in 2018.
